Holocaust Memorial Day
Plymouth Council of Faiths invite you to join us in commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day on 27th January 2018.
At 2.00pm we will gather at the Piazza in front of the large Screen. We will proceed to the Peace Garden on Plymouth Hoe. There will be held an act of commemoration in common with all throughout the world who are marking this day. A new memorial stone will be dedicated by the Lord Mayor of Plymouth along with a tree in memory of Solly Irving a Holocaust Survivor and educationalist here in Plymouth.
This day is important as it marks a sad point in human history and also acknowledges that genocide continues in our world. We should never cease from trying to right human kinds failures.
