Each area has been asked to create their own Military Covenant to build support mechanisms for ex, wounded and families of - military personnel. Plymouth as a Unitary Authority city, with strong military connections, has drawn up its own covenant.
Chris Clewer, Chairman of Churches Together in Plymouth signed the covenant on behalf of the Faith community in the city.
The final signatories will be added on Armed forces Day and the Covenant will go live. Whatever we think about the military campaigns that our armed forces embark upon, I believe we would all want to support the personnel and their families.
For any Ministries that involve military personnel (serving or retired) and their families, a funding source could become available to help support the work they do.
