ODILS is seeking an Accounts and Operational support person.

ODILS Learning Foundation is an educational, faith based charitable social enterprise serving and enabling individuals and communities isolated by language and culture both in the UK and overseas.

We are looking to increase our growing team with an Accounts and Operational Support person.

This role is a permanent role, with flexible working hours offered to the right candidate. It is a key role to the development of the Charity.

Start date: as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be partly qualified to at least level 3 of the Association of Accounting Technicians, with a view of leading towards level 4. Study support will be considered for the right candidate.

Hours: 28 hours per week – can be worked on a flexible basis in line with business requirements. There is potential for the role to grow into full time.

Salary: £25,000 pro rata, 30 days holidays, auto enrolment pension scheme.

Experience within the charity sector and a familiarisation with the Standard of Recommended Practice would be ideal.

A familiarisation with Microsoft application and a recognised accounting software is required.

Desirable: experience in using a Cloud based accounting solution.

Ad Hoc operational tasks including all Non Academic operational spend, Treasury to Trustees and Charity and Company House reporting.

The successful candidate will also form part of the team to lead the Charity on the migration towards a cloud accounting solution and Microsoft 365 within the organisation.

Good communication skills will be a pre -requisite as the successful candidate will be working closely with the Chief Executive and the Trustees Board. Also working as a key member of the Senior Management Team.
