Come and See…

Christ’s ‘Passion’ in spoken word and music

Performing Arts Mission is excited to share our latest dramatic venture from the Plymouth and Devonport Methodist Circuit with you – a filmed presentation of Christ’s ‘Passion’ in spoken word and music.

The first lockdown occurred several weeks before Holy Week 2020 and we were sadly unable to go ahead with our Circuit production of ‘Passion.’ Unfortunately, we have been unable to resume rehearsals this year either, so Anne Middleton (Performing Arts Mission Enabler) has adapted her play to create this COVID-safe, filmed, narrated presentation, to enable us to engage with the wonderful Easter story of love and sacrifice.

Filmed at Ridgeway Methodist Church, the Old Priory and Castle, Plympton (Plymouth), the video also presents Plympton’s historic sites in an exciting way, never seen before! Anne has added songs to intersperse with the narrated story – two songs are originals, created especially for this production. We are grateful to Graham Kendrick for allowing us to use two of his songs, including the title song…

We hope this presentation touches your heart and soul as we invite you to ‘come and see’ a glimpse of God’s amazing love shown to us through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.

Come and See… will be premiered on PAM YouTube / Facebook on Good Friday:

2nd April at 4pm and 6.30pm and it will be available afterwards.

Some individual songs will be available for use in your own services. We will also release short reflective videos, with clips from the full presentation, to give a focus for reflection in the lead up to Good Friday. These videos are available as a free resource, thanks to the Plymouth and Devonport Methodist Circuit. Please contact PAM for more information / for a link to download the videos.
